Australian-born, Brooklyn-based songwriter Ben R. Mackie “mixes folk and country inspired sounds with a distinctively Melbournian soul” (Beat Magazine) to create a 70’s-mid-fi-pop filtered amalgamation of modern Americana-psychedelia.

Over the past few years Mackie has taken home some of Australia’s finest music prizes; including the country’s largest alternative radio station Triple J’sUnearthed competition with the group The Polites.

Since relocating to New York CIty in 2014, Mackie has brought his one-man show to many of the cities top venues; with showcases at Mercury Lounge, Rockwood Music Hall and the 2015 CMJ Music Marathon just a few of the highlights.
